For example, the photocatalytic façade Expo 2015 in Milan, Italy, gave the building Palazzo Italia. Its walls remained clean during the event and purified pollution levels in the city. Sun-activated clean walls are used at a hospital in Mexico City to maintain it sterile and free of patient health risks. This provides an incredibly safe environment for healing and recovery.
The demand for sustainable solutions also increases with growing awareness of environmental concerns. Sun-activated clean walls mark another milestone for greener urban design and infrastructure. Further research and development in this field could result in even more efficient and cost-effective photocatalytic materials, enabling this technology to serve a broader range of applications.
